This song was inspired by a poem written by my older brother. I’ve always been deeply impacted by his poetry, a small doorway into his heart. I chose this poem because it felt like pinky-sware-pact you make with your best friend to stay up all night and not fall asleep until sunrise. We are here to remind each other of the truth of our shared divinity and connectedness.

When I sing this song, I feel myself dissolve into the words and I feel closer to my brother. It’s like walking for a moment in his shoes. The song is blessed with the flute playing of Avishai Barnatan and I love the duet like a dance of voice and flute. I feel like he listened and captured the essence and emotion of the song. Every time I listen I am transported into another world.

Remind me shines a light on what I feel is most important: Being present, grounded, and expensive at the same time. Resting in the seat of the soul, reconnecting with the innocence and magic of being a child. Each moment is pregnant with possibility, forging forward in uncharted territory, healing guilt and shame. It is the alchemical dance of light and shadow realizing what we sought was within all along. I see you, I feel your heart, I’m here no matter what games than mind plays.
