I wrote "Foundation" recently while living in Bali. The lyrics shine a light on the inner and outer conditions I have found are needed to live in passion and purpose, fully grounded, and in alignment with my higher self. It is an exciting time, feeling the strong foundation within myself and in my relationship with my wife. To walk this path together in love and support. It is so sweet to share this in a song and acknowledge how we are holding each other.

Foundation is also about where I put my energy on a day to day basis. How much am I getting distracted and caught up in the ups and downs of the material world? What is true inner stability and resourcefulness? Does it come from something outside of myself or from within?

My Capoeira Mestre would always tell me that I should not build a house on sand but on solid rock. That solid rock is the foundation on which I stand, it is the ground of my being and my truth expressed in the world with love and graciousness.
